Exceptional boys are
  • gifted
  • neuro-diverse
  • experience multiple-exceptionalities
  • possess deep emotional intelligence and needs
  • have complex social-emotional needs

Boys in the United States often experience negative socialization through toxic masculinity in the form of
  • imposed, rigid roles leading to internalized aggression
  • repressed emotional needs
  • encouragement around the use of externalized anger and oppressive behaviors to get their needs met
  • the rejection of fluid and diverse forms of self-expression

This can create
  • inner-conflicts
  • power struggles
  • self-esteem issues
  • a lack of connection to the self and others
  • alter the critical thinking skills necessary for individuals to foster and maintain their personal integrity and beliefs

In this group, we address the complex underlying needs of each individual to address challenges that arise socially, individually, and within family and educational systems.

Attunement and acceptance within the group and a compassionate approach to accountability supports individuals with complex needs, including a strength-based platform for discussion and self-reflection.

Boys grow in both their interpersonal skills and intrapersonal development, as they attach to those parts of themselves that often go unrecognized or are misunderstood.

Specifically, exceptional boys are more vulnerable to being misunderstood or penalized for divergent behaviors and thinking so the lens through which we see, hear and validate these individuals is vital for healthy masculinity and self-acceptance.

Parent Testimonial:
“These days have been incredibly extreme in their grief and breakthroughs.” @chaninicholas
I feel this, my kids definitely feel this. They are navigating friendships and how to be in the world as they grow and self-actualize. How to be strong and soft, independent and listen to others’ needs.
This week they get to pick apart their experiences with guidance from the best. She is dedicated to helping them find a healthy masculine within themselves. I am so grateful. @kgibbonscreativeaid
